Frankie Trieu’s Presque Isle Senior Portraits

I recently had the privilege of photographing Frankie Trieu, a 2021 senior at my alma mater McDowell Senior High School. He will go from a Trojan to a Nittany Lion when he moves on to Penn State next fall. This student-athlete turned model brought a ton of personality (and a few special guests!) to his shoot, and I am so excited to share some of his Presque Isle senior portraits with you all.

The Man and Man’s Best Friends

As with any senior portrait session, we wanted to make sure that we fully captured Frankie and his high school experience in every photo. For Frankie, high school brought not only academics, but athletics! As a football player and a sprinter for the track team, his senior photos may be one of the few places you can witness Frankie completely motionless. But despite being in a still frame, we’re happy to see Frankie’s contagious energy radiating through his pictures.

We love seeing the personal touches that every student brings to their session, and Frankie did not disappoint! We were able to capture him alongside his devoted dog, Holly, and his car. No portrait session is complete without some woofs and some wheels!

Presque Isle Senior Portraits

Pennsylvania’s gorgeous Presque Isle State Park was a perfect spot to capture Frankie. With 3,200 acres set against the sparkling Lake Erie, we had endless options for backdrops. Being the site of many outdoor recreational activities, we were sure that athletic Frankie felt right at home. It also provided lots of new smells for his co-star (and brand-new terrain for his co… car!)

We had so much fun on this shoot and were so happy to capture Frankie before he heads into his senior year and then off to Penn State! We are sure that Holly is going to miss the “man” to her “man’s best friend” while he’s conquering college, so hopefully his portraits will serve as some consolation.
