Featured Portrait Location: Frontier Park
While some venues are perfectly suited for the grandeur of a wedding day, other venues offer a simpler setting. Frontier Park is a breathtaking option for more intimate sessions, such as engagement photos, family portraits, senior pictures, and more.
The Park
Frontier Park is located a handful of miles from Lake Erie. The park is filled with trees, small wildlife, and the peaceful sound of Cascade Creek.
Frontier Park is also home to LEAF Arboretum. The LEAF Arboretum is complete with an education center and outdoor classroom. There, the park holds regular events, like yoga and art classes, and movie nights under the stars.
LEAF Arboretum has a large, circular labyrinth, gifted to the garden club in commemoration of their 80th anniversary.
Filled with plants that bloom in both spring and winter, the park is always full of life. There are currently over 1,000 trees growing here, and that number gets larger every year.

Engagement Photos
One of the best qualities of Frontier Park is that the beauty of the park is evident all year long. Each season brings its own array of plants, colors, and lighting.
Summer at Frontier boasts lush landscapes and vivid greenery as you see in Rebecca and Jeffery’s summer engagement photos.
Autumn brings the familiar shades of red, orange, and yellow. The air is cooler, the lighting soft. It’s a great time of year to highlight the warmth of a couple’s love story through their engagement session. Take a look at Lydia and Matt’s photos and you will see what I mean.
In my opinion, winter photos are highly underrated. The way the sunlight glistens reflects off the snow and the barren trees? Gorgeous. See how the colors of Madeline, Kolten, and their dog contrast the snow-white background of their photos.
Portraits
Engagement sessions aren’t the only pictures I love to take at Frontier Park. It is also a great place for seniors and families.
The park has plenty of room for families of any size to stretch out and be comfortable. Take a look at this family portrait session taken during the winter at the park.
It’s also ideal for high school seniors who want to show off their style in senior portraits. The rustic autumn tones allowed us to really show Katie Lueck’s personality.
We have even photographed a first-year session here with baby Addison. We were able to use many parts of the park, including the creek and wooden bridge.
No matter what type of portrait session you need (or what time of year you need them taken in), this is the ideal place. With such a versatile landscape, we are sure to capture your unique story at Frontier Park. Contact us to get started.
