Family Photos at Presque Isle and Frontier Park with the Daileys

We recently had a very special reunion with Mary and Jon Dailey for some family photos at Presque Isle and Frontier Park. Back in 2018, we had the privilege of photographing their beautiful wedding at the Pittsburgh National Aviary. That photo session included a penguin! Now, we got the pleasure of meeting with them for another session… this time with an even cuter surprise guest!

In 2019, the Dailey family grew by one with the birth of their daughter, Dora. This meant it was time for some updated family photos, and we’re so grateful to have been able to help them celebrate this familial milestone.

Presque Isle State Park

For our first venue, we returned to the site of Jonathan’s surprise proposal. Jonathan distracted Mary by having her take some pictures of the scenery while he got down on one knee. It was amazing to see, just a few years later, the Dailey family appreciating those same views with their beautiful baby girl.

Presque Isle is a favorite spot for our family portraits. It offers a wide variety of locations and backdrops for a family to star in. Whether we stopped in front of the sparkling lake or retreated into the woods, the camera loved the Dailey family. (It’d be hard not to — have we mentioned the adorable baby yet?)

Frontier Park

We ventured a bit further from Lake Erie for our second stop. Frontier Park is absolutely stunning this time of year and offers the perfect calm and cozy setting for family pictures. The woods are filled with beautiful, towering trees and small wildlife. However, it’s small and clear enough that we always feel comfortable bringing smaller children to the area.

The fall colors brought unbeatable ambiance to the photos. Just in time for the holiday season, we were already to capture pictures that were festive and so much fun.

We had an amazing time meeting back up with the Dailey family. It is so exciting to watch their family grow, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for them. Who knows — maybe we’ll be taking Dora’s senior photos!
