Sweet Sixteen is such a fun age to shoot, mainly because there’s so much personality. We took Sweet Sixteen photos at Presque Isle State Park in Erie Pa for the incredible Kseniya Tischenko. This girl is super-ambitious, so it was exciting to take some photos that she can hold onto for a while.
It was a no-brainer to take on this shoot, too. Kseniya’s mom, Anna, and Teri are good friends and former co-workers from their days at the Multicultural Community Resource Center. We were so excited as soon as she said that she wanted to go to the park for Sweet Sixteen photos, too! 
Photos at Presque Isle
The best part about taking photos at Presque Isle State Park is that there are so many incredible backdrops. We took photos at Beach One as well as the newly renovated Beach 8. In addition to capturing the accomplished gymnast (who has been competing since the age of 8!), we were also able to get some incredible views of the bay.
Fun with Outfits
Capturing the photos of Kseniya was amazing with that floral dress. The hi-lo design of the dress made such a bold statement on the rocks. Plus all of the blonde hair against the sand off the shoreline made for some incredible photos. That smile of hers shows just how much fun she had in front of the camera.
We were able to get a few wardrobe changes in for the photoshoot in Erie, PA, too. We didn’t want to miss the chance to get some photos at the life guard station, which is when she decided to rock her jean jacket. It was a chance to see some more of her personality shine through, too.
As a portrait photographer in Erie PA, we couldn’t resist having her walk up and down the beach to be able to shoot Kseniya in the natural sunlight. We’re so thrilled that she was such a good sport about it.
A Girl with Dreams
While these aren’t senior portraits in Erie, PA, we know that it’s only a matter of time that we do these for Kseniya in two years. She’s got big plans for college, too, with the possibility of either going to Penn State Main, the University of Pittsburgh, or Case Western University. Right now, she’s enjoying being a sophomore at Collegiate Academy.
We hope that she loves her Sweet Sixteen photos at Presque Isle as much as we do. And we look forward to photographing her again for her senior portraits — perhaps at another fun location in Erie.
