Fun, Farm-Inspired Rustic Senior Portraits with Taylor Haskell

With school back in session, you know what that means! It’s time for high school seniors to start looking to the future and for senior pictures to be taken. We recently had the opportunity to take Taylor Haskell’s rustic senior portraits. Taylor is a senior at Union City High School. Her farm-inspired session was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed getting to know all about Taylor.

Senior portraits are something special. It’s always a fun challenge to balance both parts of a senior’s personality in their portraits: who they are at this point in their life, and who they hope to become.

All About Taylor

From seventh grade until last year, Taylor was an active member of her school’s Cross Country team. Last year, Union City’s Girl’s Cross Country team took second place in the state. Unfortunately, Taylor could not participate in the sport this year due to a stress fracture in her foot that happened last fall.

In addition to athletics, Taylor was Head Stage Manager for her school’s production of the musical The Pajama Game.

Helping People

Taylor isn’t only involved in extra-curricular activities. She is also a volunteer fire firefighter.

Needless to say, Taylor has a heart for helping other people. In December she will be taking her EMT test. Afterward, she hopes to become either a Paramedic or a Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse.

The Farm-Inspired Rustic Senior Portraits

We did Taylor’s rustic senior portraits session at her great-grandparent’s farm. On top of being a working farm, her great-grandparents also make maple syrup. The farm provided a gorgeous backdrop for the photos—perfect for this time of year.

It felt fitting to mark this milestone in Taylor’s life somewhere she has a history and it was obvious that Taylor was in her element at the farm. By taking her portraits somewhere she felt comfortable, we were able to highlight her personality even more.

Looking to the Future

It was a pleasure getting to know Taylor and the shoot was a lot of fun. Because of her motivation and community involvement, we know she will go far. We wish her the best of luck.
